Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dan unsur intrinsik. Penanaman nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter bukan hanya melalui lembaga pendidikan formal saja tetapi bisa melalui penghayatan karya sastra yang dapat mendidik, salah satunya adalah melalui novel. Pendidikan karakter memiliki tujuan untuk mengambangkan nilai-nilai kehidupan yang dianggap penting dan perlu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang ada pada novel Rindu (2014) dan unsur pembangun terutama unsur intrinsik dalam novel ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif yaitu menggunakan kata-kata bukan angka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Nilai pendidikan karakter yang ada pada novel Rindu (2014) memuat 18 nilai pendidikan karakter yang dapat diambil contoh bagi para pembacanya karena mengandung banyak sekali amanat yang pantas untuk ditiru terutama nilai pendidikan karakter yang paling banyak ditemukan yaitu religius. 2) Adanya unsur pembangun terutama unsur intrinsik dalam novel ini. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu baca, catat, dan tulis.

 

 

Oral tradition is a tradition of speaking before humans invented writing. The speech is still carried out by the community until now even though humans are already familiar with writing and use modern technology. It shows that humans cannot be separated from the tradition of speaking even though they are familiar with modern technology. Oral traditions related to literature such as folklore, fairy tales, rhymes, folk songs, or folk expressions can be used as inspiration for compiling literary texts for literacy. The form of literary texts developed with the inspiration of oral tradition can be in the form of verbal texts such as poetry texts, drama texts, short stories texts, novels, comics and non-verbal such as in the form of audio, audio-visual, images, infographics, and films. Literary texts based on local wisdom in oral traditions can be developed into various forms and can be used in literacy. Strengthening literacy culture can be done with various skills such as reading, listening, observing, listening, writing, speaking. The existence of contextual literary texts according to the socio-cultural conditions of the people of an area certainly fosters a sense of love for the region, high curiosity so that it fosters interest in reading, knowing tourism potential, history, regional origins, folk songs, and folk expressions.
