Konflik Batin Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Leiden (2021) Karya Dwi Nur Rahmawati

Abstract

Permasalahan batin pada tokoh utama terjadi karena tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan dalam hidupnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Penyebab konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama dalam Novel Leiden (2021). (2) Konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama dalam novel Leiden (2021). Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik baca dan catat. Metode analisis pada penelitian ini adalah analisis isi. Metode penyajian data yang digunakan adalah metode informal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat (1) 30 data mengenai penyebab konflik batin tokoh utama. Konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama karena tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan berdasarkan teori Abraham Maslow. Kebutuhan tersebut meliputi tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan fisiologis berjumlah 2 data, tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan rasa aman berjumlah 8 data, tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan rasa cinta dan memiliki sebanyak 9 data, tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan akan penghargaan sebanyak 7 data, dan tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan aktualisasi diri sebanyak 4 data. (2) 28 data mengenai konflik batin. Akibat tidak terpenuhinya kebutuhan tersebut, menyebabkan munculnya konflik batin yang dirasakan tokoh Rhea yang berupa ketakutan, kecemasan, depresi, kesedihan, sakit hati, dan marah.

The inner problem in the main character occurred because of the unmet needs in her life. The purpose of this study was to describe (1) The causes of inner conflict experienced by the main character in the Leiden (2021) novel. (2) The inner conflict experienced by the main character in the Leiden (2021) novel. This research was qualitative descriptive research. The data collection method used was the read and recording technique. The analysis method in this study was content analysis. The method of presenting the data used was an informal method. The results showed that there were (1) 30 data on the causes of the main character's inner conflict. The inner conflict that the main character experienced due to the non-fulfillment of needs was based on the theory of Abraham Maslow. These needs include the non-fulfillment of physiological needs of 2 data, the non-fulfillment of security needs of 8 data, the non-fulfillment of love and belonging of 9 data, the non-fulfillment of the need for appreciation of 7 data, and the non-fulfillment of self-actualization needs of 4 data. (2) 28 data on inner conflict. As a result of not meeting these needs, it caused the emergence of inner conflicts felt by Rhea in the form of fear, anxiety, depression, sadness, heartache, and anger.
