Potret Sosial dalam Novel Larasati (1960) Karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer

Abstract

Permasalahan sosial dapat menimbulkan konflik sosial apabila tidak dapat diatasi secara optimal. Penelitian ini menganalisis bentuk-bentuk potret sosial dalam novel Larasati (1960) karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Rumusan masalah yang terdapat pada penelitian ini adalah: (1) Bagaimanakah latar sosial dalam novel Larasati (1960) karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer? (2) Bagaimanakah bentuk-bentuk potret sosial pada masa revolusi Indonesia dalam novel Larasati (1960) karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer?. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan latar sosial dan bentuk-bentuk potret sosial pada masa revolusi Indonesia dalam novel Larasati (1960) karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi karya sastra menurut teori Soerjono Soekanto. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik studi pustaka dengan empat tahap, yaitu (1) Membaca. (2) Mencatat. (3) Mengidentifikasi kemudian mengklasifikasikan data sesuai dengan masalah penelitian. (4) Mereduksi data atau penyederhanaan data yang dianggap tidak relevan. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan beberapa bentuk potret sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Larasati (1960) karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Bentuk-bentuk potret sosial tersebut saling berkaitan satu sama lain dan berdampak bagi masyarakat secara luas. Hal ini akan berpengaruh terhadap keseimbangan kehidupan masyarakat, sehingga fungsi-fungsi kehidupan juga akan terganggu. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan kesadaran dan penanganan yang optimal agar tidak menimbulkan konflik sosial dalam kehidupan masyarakat.

ABSTRACT

Social problems can cause social conflicts if they are not overcome optimally. This study analyzed the forms of social portraiture in the Larasati (1960) novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The formulation of the problems contained in this study were: (1) What is the social setting in the Larasati (1960) novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer? (2) What are the forms of social portraits during the Indonesian revolution in the Larasati (1960) novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer? The purpose of this research was to describe the social setting and forms of social portraits during the Indonesian revolution in the Larasati (1960) novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The method in this study was descriptive qualitative using the sociological approach of literary works according to the theory of Soerjono Soekanto. This research used a literature study technique with four stages, namely (1) Reading. (2) Note-taking. (3) Identifying and classifying the data according to the research problem. (4) Reducing data or simplifying data that was considered irrelevant. The results of this study found several forms of social portraits contained in the Larasati (1960) novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. These forms of social portraits were interrelated with each other and had an impact on society at large. This would affect people's life balance so life-fusion functions will also be disrupted. Therefore, optimal awareness and handling are needed so as not to cause social conflicts in people's lives.
